Details you provide: name, institutional email, institution or laboratory, role, intended research application, the material you were looking at, and your research-use confirmation.

Referral records: when you follow an ordering link we record the click, the destination, and an identifier we pass to the partner supplier so the order can be attributed to this site.

Technical data: IP address, browser and device information, pages viewed, and referring URL, collected through standard server logs and analytics.

To connect you with the partner supplier that fulfils orders, and to attribute resulting orders to this site so we are paid correctly.

To respond to your enquiry and to send you documentation, availability and service updates about research materials. You can opt out of these at any time.

To keep records our compliance obligations require — including the research-use confirmation associated with each submission.

To operate, secure and improve the site, and to detect and prevent fraud or misuse.

We share the details you submit, and the referral identifier, with the independent partner supplier that fulfils orders. Once your information is with that supplier its own privacy policy applies to what it does with it.

We share information with service providers who operate the site, send our email and messaging, and provide analytics, under contract and only as needed to perform those services.

We may disclose information where required by law, to respond to lawful requests from regulators or law enforcement, or to protect our rights and the safety of others.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share mobile opt-in data with third parties for their own marketing.

Enquiry, referral and compliance records — including research-use confirmations — are retained for as long as required by our legal, regulatory and recordkeeping obligations, and then deleted or anonymised.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact research@geneticelements.com to make a request; we may need to verify your identity first.

You can opt out of non-essential email at any time using the unsubscribe link.

A request to us does not reach the partner supplier. If you have ordered from them, contact them directly about information they hold.

Note that compliance records we are required to retain may survive a deletion request.
