Referral Disclosure
How Genetic Elements makes money, and what our relationship is with the supplier that fulfils orders.
1. The short version
Genetic Elements does not sell materials. Ordering is fulfilled by an independent partner supplier, and we may be compensated for orders placed through links on this site.
That compensation is why this disclosure exists. You should assume that any link here that leads to ordering is one we may be paid on.
2. The relationship
We have a commercial agreement with the supplier that fulfils orders. Under it we are paid a percentage of the value of orders attributed to this site.
We are not owned by that supplier, and it does not control the editorial content of this site. Equally, we are not independent of it — we have a financial interest in you ordering, which is exactly what this page is here to tell you.
3. What compensation does not change
It does not change the specifications or analytical documentation we publish. Figures come from lot documentation, not from what would sell best.
It does not buy an endorsement. We make no claim about what any material does, and we do not publish testimonials, outcomes or health claims of any kind.
It does not change the research-use position set out in our Research Use Policy.
4. How orders are attributed
When you follow an ordering link we record the click and pass an identifier to the supplier so the order can be attributed to this site. See our Privacy Policy for what we collect and how long we keep it.
